Search for Schollhorn Sidecutting Pliers

News flash: This search is now complete. See the results. The rest of this page contains the description I wrote to aid the search.

I'm looking for a certain kind of pliers with wirecutting jaws on the side. Please email me with any information that might help me purchase some.

Description

These pliers are around 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long. (Actually, the length doesn't matter.) They have jaws that remain parallel as the pliers open and close. The wirecutting jaws are at the side, protruding outward from one of the jaws.

In the pictures, note the four pins that keep the jaws parallel.

Manufacturing information

One one side the pliers say

W. SCHOLLHORN CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN.
On the other side they say
Pat. 106495 [the 9 is uncertain]
and
BERNARD

My family has had two in its possession. The newer one was perhaps 8 inches (25 cm) long and was plated with a chromelike finish. It was purchased in Fresno, California, probably between 1965 and 1973. The older one is around 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and has a dark finish. The older one is still in our possession.
